Bitcoin has rebounded towards US$83,000 as renewed institutional buying and improving risk appetite provide support after several weeks of volatile trading. The world's largest cryptocurrency was trading at about US$82,967 at the latest check, up around 1.3% on the session after moving between US$81,186 and US$83,245.

BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF took in $665 million on Monday, its largest single day since October 2025. Fidelity and Grayscale saw outflows the same day, and Bitcoin stayed stuck between $82,000 and $83,000.

Inflation and jurisdictional risks are serving as powerful examples of the value of alternative assets like gold and Bitcoin, and the ability to borrow against these non-yielding assets could make them even more attractive in the coming years, according to Adam Reeds, CEO of digital-asset-backed lending platform Ledn – which is launching Tether Gold-backed loans in the coming weeks.
