A single brutal trading day swallowed most of the headline number, yet the story being told about institutions fleeing Bitcoin does not survive contact with the full data.

Bitcoin has rebounded towards US$83,000 as renewed institutional buying and improving risk appetite provide support after several weeks of volatile trading. The world's largest cryptocurrency was trading at about US$82,967 at the latest check, up around 1.3% on the session after moving between US$81,186 and US$83,245.

BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF took in $665 million on Monday, its largest single day since October 2025. Fidelity and Grayscale saw outflows the same day, and Bitcoin stayed stuck between $82,000 and $83,000.

Nine US companies, including Broadcom, Verizon and UnitedHealth, have formally objected to having their shares traded on the OKXICE venue. The SEC's innovation exemption gives issuers thirty days to say no, and an objection blocks that one venue rather than the idea itself.

Digital asset fund flows across all issuers lost momentum this week, a marked slowdown after US$11.1B of inflows since mid-July. Much of that earlier demand appears to have reflected investors buying at depressed valuations, though concerns around US fiscal sustainability have become an increasingly important part of the allocation case.
