Vise Technologies makes software that builds and manages personalized investment portfolios for wealth management firms, with a focus on cutting clients' taxes. Its platform trades each account against a model set once by the adviser and harvests tax losses daily. It lets investors buy an index's individual stocks directly instead of an ETF, and offers long/short strategies such as 130/30 and 250/150 inside one tax-efficient account. Vise was founded in 2016 and is run by co-heads Samir Vasavada and Runik Mehrotra. Early backers included Nat Turner and Zach Weinberg of Flatiron Health, and Founders Fund co-led its seed round.
