IRVING, Texas, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vistra Corp. (NYSE: VST) today announced its redemption of all outstanding shares of its 8.0% Fixed-Rate Reset Cumulative Redeemable Perpetual Preferred Stock, Series A, $0.01 par value per share (the "Series A Preferred Stock") in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the governing documents for the Series A Preferred Stock. All one million shares of the Series A Preferred Stock (CUSIP: 92840M AB8 (Rule 144A) and U92266 AA0 (Regulation S)) are being redeemed at a price of $1,000 per share of preferred stock representing $1.0 billion in aggregate liquidation preference.

Vistra and Constellation Energy Group surged on major nuclear-related deals, reinforcing their long-term Buy cases. CEG's long-term power agreements with tech giants and upgraded EPS guidance support a 5-6% near-term upside and potential for shares to double in five years. VST appears fairly valued short term, with forward EV/EBITDA and P/E ratios near historical averages, but offers 70% upside by 2031 if nuclear growth persists.

The Department of Energy announced a $4.2 billion loan to Vistra to add to its power capacity. Vistra owns power-generation assets in some of the fastest-growing data center markets in the U.S. The power producer will use the loan to upgrade and modernize its fleet and expand capacity to meet rising power demand.

Vistra is seeing profits soar, as power demand hits record highs across the mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Texas markets. GE Vernova's $176 billion backlog and high-margin services revenue from gas turbines could fuel excellent returns.
