NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BNY Mellon ETF Investment Adviser, LLC today announced that five of their ETFs will undergo forward share splits at a ratio of 3-for-1. A forward share split increases an ETF's number of shares outstanding while decreasing its Net Asset Value ("NAV") per share accordingly. The total value of a shareholder's investment will remain unchanged.

The BNY Mellon International Equity ETF (BKIE) is rated Hold due to structural underperformance versus both passive and active peers. BKIE's 0.04% fee matches SCHF, but its narrower index coverage and exclusion of South Korea have cost investors meaningful returns. SCHF offers broader exposure and better cyclical positioning, while AVDE's active management has delivered nearly 600 basis points of outperformance in 2025.

Although the week's ETF news was dominated by ARK and 21Shares teaming up to launch five cryptocurrency-related ETFs, there were additional new ETFs from other firms, including Simplify, newcomer GMO, Amplify, SoFi, DWS, and Virtus.

While some general truth exists in the assertion that American investors should stick with U.S.-based investments for familiarity and performance reasons, the best international ETFs may provide a layer of intrigue for the adventurous. First and foremost, diversification may be a value attribute heading into broader market uncertainty.
