Cathie Wood buys more air taxi stocks and defense names for the second day in a row. Sells more Robinhood, DraftKings.

Over the past five years, ARK Invest's ARK Innovation ETF (BATS:ARKK) has declined 14.91%, while the Invesco QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ) has gained 111.60%. Cathie Wood responded to this contrast by calling it an “incorrect comparison” and attributing the five-year figures to “endpoint sensitivity.

Cathie Wood-led Ark Invest purchased shares of Kalshi Inc. (KLSH.PVT) from private markets across three actively managed exchange-traded funds on Sept. 18, 2026, while simultaneously selling shares of Brera Holdings PLC (NASDAQ:SLMT).

Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK) has matched S&P 500 returns over 10 years but with more than double the volatility. ARKK's 10-year Sharpe Ratio is 0.33, significantly below the S&P 500's 0.74, reflecting a weak risk-adjusted profile. Current portfolio valuations are extremely high, not justified even by the strong expected growth of those companies.

The Ark Innovation ETF is designed to invest in “disruptive innovation.” It's not always clear, however, which companies are actually going to prove disruptive.
