With shares of Amazon (AMZN) up 28% over the past month, it's safe to say investors are at peace with the company's massive artificial intelligence (AI) spending plans.

Four of the Magnificent Seven reported earnings yesterday—Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet—beating most Wall Street expectations. As seasoned traders know, however, the prevailing market reaction can define whether a stock moves higher or lower.

With first-quarter earnings season accelerating, next week brings a deluge of reports from bellwether growth names, including Amazon (AMZN). The parent of Amazon Web Services (AWS) reports results for the January through March period on Wednesday, April 29 after the close of U.S. markets.

Tariffs continue to be the wild card swaying markets, but traders can agree that it clears a pathway for potential ideas. Nvidia has been sitting pretty atop the list of largest companies. After its fiscal year 2026 Q2 earnings, it sent a message that it plans to remain there.

Recent jobs data has been discouraging. Inflation remains too high for many consumers' taste.

Following Meta and Microsoft, the earnings bonanza continued for the market's biggest players, with Apple and Amazon next on the docket. Both beat out Wall Street estimates, sloughing off any notion that tariffs could negatively impact their final Q2 results.
