Commonwealth Equity Services Portfolio holdings
Commonwealth Financial Network acts as the back office for independent financial advisers, processing investment transactions for their clients. Joseph Deitch founded it in 1979 as The Cambridge Group, an outgrowth of his financial planning practice, and adopted the Commonwealth name in 1981. In 1992 it bought Kavanaugh Securities of Dallas to expand its national presence. LPL Holdings acquired the firm in August 2025, and it continues to operate under the Commonwealth brand.
