A $1,000 investment in XRP on September 18, 2025, when REX-Osprey XRP ETF (XRPR) – the first United States XRP spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) was launched, is now worth less than half.

Seven U.S. spot XRP ETFs went live between September and December 2025, and together they've pulled in $1.44 billion.

For years, XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) has existed in a kind of regulatory purgatory as Ripple's long-running legal battle with the SEC cast a shadow over the entire asset, keeping institutional money on the sidelines and leaving retail investors with limited, often inconvenient ways to get exposure.

REX-Osprey XRP ETF is rated Hold due to near-term crypto market headwinds and investor rotation into quality, value, and income assets. XRPR offers exposure to XRP, which may benefit if banks adopt the Ripple Protocol for efficient cross-border transactions, but adoption remains uncertain as bank-backed stablecoins emerge. The ETF is relatively expensive at a 75 bps expense ratio when compared to peer crypto spot ETFs.

XRP's spot ETFs are sucking in roughly $50 million a day in fresh capital, hitting nearly $1 billion in inflows in under four weeks, the fastest adoption pace since Ethereum ETFs launched. Yet the token itself has cratered 11% over the past ten days and sits near $1.72, well below the $2.
