Semiconductors remain one of the equity market's most vital and volatile sectors, sitting at the center of several major investment themes, from artificial intelligence (AI) and data center spending to smartphones, autos, and broader technology demand.

On the final episode of the “ETF of the Week” podcast, VettaFi's Head of Research, Todd Rosenbluth, sat down one last time to discuss the Direxion Daily NVDA Bull 2X ETF (NVDU) and the Direxion Daily NVDA Bear 1X ETF (NVDD) with Chuck Jaffe of Money Life.

Heading into Q2 fiscal 2027 earnings, the capital markets wondered if the vaunted chipmaking giant Nvidia still has its mojo. Despite rallying to atmospheric levels over the past three years, this massive upside is already baked into its stock price.

Traders aren't wrong in feeling as though second-quarter earnings season is over. However, there's at least one big report left to absorb.

Although semiconductor juggernaut Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ: NVDA) has become practically synonymous with the dramatic rise in artificial intelligence, the tremendous success also serves as a point of caution. True, NVDA stock has skyrocketed in recent years on the back of its graphics processors, which power the latest AI workloads.

Active traders looking for targets this week don't have to look far. That's because a familiar name reports earnings on Wednesday after the close of U.S. markets.
