Four ETFs sell options against some of the most volatile corners of the market to generate monthly cash, but the fund paying the most income also carries a risk most investors overlook before they buy.

Stretched valuations and a crowded AI trade have pushed me toward portfolio defense. This has come at a cost, but I'm happy to pay it for reliable income. I highlight two battle-tested dividend machines yielding over 6% that have kept paying through decades of crises.

Long-duration Treasuries finally offer an enticing yield, but several less obvious risks could undermine both the income and the hedge. Covered call ETFs share more with fixed income than most investors realize, and today's environment is paying them more for that role. I detail two high-yielding, monthly-paying dividend machines that could help position your portfolio to profit from these two outcomes. I also detail some of the downsides of these investments and how to mitigate those cons.

Building a $100,000 dividend snowball is foundational for financial security and passive income. I detail how I would go about doing so in today's rising rate environment. I also share some specific picks and how to allocate capital on a percentage basis to build the snowball.
