Sprott Copper Miners ETF

COPP

Valor de mercado US$ 264 mi

Sprott Copper Miners ETF is rated "Buy", with accumulation recommended in tranches near the $39.94–40.70 area, leveraging technical support. COPP benefits from a tight copper market, projected deficits, and supply constraints but faces high volatility (48%) and significant concentration risk in Freeport-McMoRan. Entry should be small-sized due to volatility, with positions halted below the 200-day average ($39.94) and invalidated below $37.

August proved to be a fairly fortuitous month for spot copper prices, and an even better one for the copper miners. Key Takeaways: Copper miners enjoyed strong price gains during August, according to recent insights from Sprott's Jacob White, CFA.

Many sought-after metals have been logging significant price growth in recent months, and lithium is no exception. Key Takeaways: The price of lithium did quite well in August, as did the Sprott Lithium Miners ETF (LITP).

While many metals and commodities are worth keeping an eye on right now, one that may warrant particular focus is copper.  Key Takeaways: The price of spot copper saw a noticeable increase in July, rising 3.65% over the one month alone.

NEW YORK, July 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sprott Asset Management USA, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sprott Inc., today announced that the Nasdaq indexes tracked by several of its ETFs will add rebalances in September and March beginning September 21, 2026. The indexes will be rebalanced on a quarterly basis in March, June, September and December, with the semi-annual index reconstitution coinciding with the June and December rebalances.

Is now the time to consider hopping back into silver investing? Sure, the precious metal may tend to be a bit more volatile than gold, but it is certainly offering a compelling value proposition for the months to come.

The global push, particularly in Western nations, towards advanced technology in the defense sector is amplifying the realization that critical supply chains run through China. For defense strategists, this reliance becomes a roadblock on the path to critical mineral independence.

ETFs like COPX are gaining attention as copper outpaces gold and silver, fueled by AI data center demand and a bullish long-term supply-demand outlook.

I recommend buying the Global X Copper Miners ETF and the Sprott Copper Miners ETF due to attractive valuations and strong macro tailwinds. Hard assets like copper remain undervalued versus financial assets, supported by tightening supply-demand dynamics and falling inventories. COPX and COPP both offer compelling exposure; COPX stands out for liquidity and track record, while COPP offers broader holdings.

Sprott Copper Miners ETF is rated Buy for concentrated, pure-play copper exposure with a unique physical copper allocation. Structural supply deficits, AI infrastructure, grid modernization, and defense spending drive a multi-decade bullish thesis for copper demand. COPP's top-heavy portfolio, led by Freeport-McMoRan (25.9%), offers U.S. tariff leverage but increases concentration risk versus diversified peers.
