Brookline Bancorp's high dividend yield (5.17%) is overshadowed by stagnant share prices and a high loan-to-deposit ratio (108%), limiting growth prospects. The bank's heavy exposure to CRE loans (57% of portfolio) poses significant risk, especially in a volatile macroeconomic environment. Despite stable dividends since 1998, the potential for capital gains is minimal due to the bank's financial constraints and high loan-to-deposit ratio.
