Markets are broader than headlines suggest. AI is driving wider economic growth in Canada. Why Canada is positioned to benefit from the AI buildout.

Neocloud is reshaping AI infrastructure as demand surges. These three ETFs offer targeted exposure while reducing single-stock volatility.

The iShares Future AI & Tech ETF offers aggressive AI/tech exposure, posting a 78.2% total return over twelve months. ARTY's rules-based strategy leads to high sector concentration (86% tech) and elevated risk, with a 3-year beta of 1.95. While ARTY captures global AI supply chain growth, it includes holdings with weak fundamentals and governance concerns.

Europe shows tentative signs of improvement, but the recovery remains uneven. AI investment is increasingly influencing U.S. capital spending and trade.

Before the OpenAI IPO materializes and while Anthropic has yet to go public, it may be tough for investors to cite a single company as the face of AI. Still, NVIDIA Corp. NASDAQ: NVDA is as good a candidate as any: as the largest publicly traded firm in the world and an undisputed leader in the semiconductor and chips space, this $5-trillion behemoth has held tremendous influence over the tech-heavy Nasdaq-100 as well as the broader market overall in recent years.

ARTY, WQTM, and ARKX represent a progression from commercial AI to speculative quantum computing and diversified space/defense innovation. ARTY is my highest-conviction Buy, backed by strong earnings, hyperscaler capex, and leading AI hardware/software exposure despite a 37x earnings multiple. WQTM is a speculative buy, offering quantum computing optionality but trading at 119x trailing earnings; position sizing should be small due to high valuation risk.

New Chinese AI Model Kimi K3 is raising questions for established players. Investors are questioning whether AI industry still has pricing power.

AI is everywhere in the product. But revenue growth is decelerating, from 16% to 13% to 12% guided. The productivity benefits are arriving for users and end-consumers of AI, though it's not hitting the income statement (at least yet) for most companies.

I downgrade iShares Future AI & Tech ETF from "Buy" to "Hold" after a rapid 40% rally and surging volatility. ARTY's concentrated AI exposure, 31% non-U.S. allocation, and implied volatility above 50% heighten risk amid unstable sector leadership. Valuation remains constructive with a PEG near 1x, but technicals signal potential downside toward $55 if support levels break.

Goldman Sachs models $765 billion in annual AI capital spending for 2026, climbing toward $1.6 trillion by 2031.
