TQQQ

時価総額 $332億

TQQQ targets a 3x daily return, nothing more, yet its decade-long results tell a stranger story than that modest promise suggests. Understanding why requires a closer look at what daily rebalancing actually does to your money over time.

I upgrade TQQQ to BUY, arguing to add exposure as I expect a strong Q4 and favorable midterm cycle. This is the setup where TQQQ can generate alpha. When and how to enter? Lump sum investing in TQQQ historically outperforms DCA, especially in secular bull markets, but carries substantial drawdown risk. Backtests on historical data post-midterms show TQQQ beats QQQ in 74% of my base-case scenarios (based on history) and loses money in 21%. A split government may be the catalyst.

TQQQ's 0.82% expense ratio tells only a fraction of what the fund actually costs to own. The charge that matters most never appears on the fact sheet, and at today's rates it dwarfs everything ProShares puts in writing.

When the Nasdaq craters, the gap between 2x and 3x leverage stops being an academic footnote and starts costing real money. What investors in TQQQ discover the hard way, QLD holders already knew.

TQQQ promises three times the daily move of the Nasdaq-100, but three separate costs work against that promise every single session, and most holders never see any of them on a fact sheet.

South Korean retail investors net bought $4.5 billion of U.S. stocks in July as their home market corrected. Many are switching markets, not bets, retaining exposure to AI and leveraged products through U.S.-listed securities.

Several top ProShares UltraPro QQQ ETF components are set to release earnings in the coming weeks. Many of these are semi-and infrastructure names involved in AI. Technical indicators on the fund are mixed, indicating selling pressure in the very short term but potential bullishness over “medium-short” timeframes. The fund's underlying holdings are under immense cash flow pressure due to AI CapEx. Several of the top ones went FCF-negative last quarter.

ProShares UltraPro QQQ is rated SELL due to insufficient momentum and technical confirmation, despite a 15% drawdown from its high. TQQQ's leveraged structure amplifies both gains and losses, with recent volatility and neutral RSI making the current entry unattractive for 3x exposure. Market leadership has broadened beyond mega-cap Nasdaq stocks, reducing the appeal of TQQQ's concentrated leverage at this stage.

ProShares UltraPro QQQ ETF remains a buy, supported by robust hyperscaler earnings and positive market sentiment following a strong earnings season. TQQQ's 3x leverage amplifies both upside and downside, but current capex-driven growth in AI and digital transformation supports continued momentum. Recent earnings from hyperscalers like AMZN, MSFT, and GOOG confirm accelerating revenue and capex, reinforcing the growth thesis for TQQQ.
