Jersey Mike's Subs Inc. (NYSE:JMKE) on Wednesday reported higher adjusted earnings, while revenue came in roughly in line with Wall Street expectations.

Jersey Mike's (JMKE) delivered strong first earnings as a public company, with same-store sales up 2.3% and robust unit growth. JMKE trades at ~20.8x adjusted EBITDA, a premium multiple that seems stretched given long-term risks to AUV growth and franchise expansion. Management guides for 2.5-3% same-store sales, ~8% unit growth, and 20% adjusted EBITDA growth in FY 2026, but cash conversion lags expectations.

People dig Jersey Mike's sandwiches. Management plans to sell a whole lot more of them in the coming years.

Jersey Mike's Subs Inc. demonstrates strong unit growth and digital engagement, but recent financials are clouded by IPO-related one-offs. Q2 systemwide sales grew 10% YoY, driven by 83 new stores and 2.3% SSS growth, primarily from increased transactions. Despite robust top-line growth, operating expenses surged 44% due to restructuring costs, muting profitability; adj. EBITDA rose 6.5%.

Jersey Mike's (NYSE:JMKE) reported second-quarter earnings that topped adjusted profit estimates but fell short on revenue, as the sandwich chain forecast accelerating same-store sales growth heading into the current quarter. Revenue for the quarter came in at $208 million, up 10% from a year earlier but below the $209 million analysts had expected.
