Crypto ETFs have remained resilient in 2026 despite higher rates and legislative roadblocks. With bitcoin prices back near $85,000, bitcoin ETFs (and the broader crypto ETF universe) have been back on investors' radars.

Tokenized real-world assets are emerging as a preferred form of collateral in decentralized finance, or DeFi, platforms that let investors lend, borrow, and trade without a bank or broker as a middleman. That's happening even as broader DeFi lending shrinks, according to a recent report from CoinShares and Token Terminal.

Solana is becoming part of the infrastructure behind a boom in prediction market trading, where users wager on real-world outcomes. Combined monthly volume on Kalshi and Polymarket rose from $4.5 billion in September 2025 to $43.7 billion in June.
