During Q2, the Harbor Disciplined Bond ETF returned 0.99% (NAV), outperforming its benchmark, the Bloomberg US Aggregate Bond Index, which returned 0.67%. The ETF's outperformance relative to the Index was driven primarily by an underweight to Treasuries, overweights to credit, and security selection within credits, particularly in the Financials sector. Securitized sectors outperformed Treasuries but could not keep pace with corporates during the quarter.

During the first quarter of 2025, the Harbor Disciplined Bond ETF returned –0.05% (NAV), matching its benchmark, the Bloomberg US Aggregate Bond Index, which also returned –0.05%. The ETF's performance relative to the Index was driven primarily by security selection in the Financials sector. Energy-related issuers were the clear outperformer during the quarter, as the rise in oil prices generally benefited the earnings outlook for the sector.

During the first quarter of 2025, the Harbor Disciplined Bond ETF (“ETF”) returned 2.60% (NAV), underperforming its benchmark, the Bloomberg US Aggregate Bond Index, which returned 2.78%. The greatest contributors to performance included The Depository Trust & Clearing, Foundry JV Holdco, agency MBS, and a CVS Pass-Through Trust. During the quarter, we purchased SWCH Commercial Mortgage Trust's SWCH 2025-DATA A in the primary market at a spread of 1.50%.

On Thursday, Harbor Capital Advisors debuted its latest ETF offering: the Harbor Disciplined Bond ETF (AGGS). “We launched the Harbor Disciplined Bond ETF to specifically address the need for a consistent, conservative approach to fixed income investing that focuses on security selection,” Harbor Capital Advisors President and CIO Kristof Gleich stated.
