Solstice: A Much Prettier Backdrop
Solstice terminated its planned $15B acquisition of Element Solutions after shareholder feedback and unfavorable exchange terms. The deal's cancellation was accompanied by a $500M buyback and reaffirmed full-year guidance, but SOLS shares failed to recover to pre-deal levels. SOLS's Q2 revenue grew 11% to $1.15B, driven by strong nuclear, healthcare packaging, and refrigerants sales, partially offset by weakness in building solutions.
