Global X MLP ETF

The Global X MLP ETF is rated a cautious Buy at ~$54, offering a 7.5% yield and 8–12% expected total return. MLPA's largest holdings, like ET and EPD, are generating robust cash flows and growing distributions, supporting the fund's payout. Fund-level C-corp taxation and deferred tax liabilities (~10% of NAV) materially impact MLPA's net returns and must be monitored.

I reiterate a buy rating on the Global X MLP ETF, which has outperformed the S&P 500 since my last call. MLPA offers a high 7.37% yield, trades at less than 14x earnings, and boasts a sub-2x PEG ratio, supporting its value thesis. Rising Treasury yields have pressured MLPA, but I believe most of the rate impact is now priced in, with economic growth remaining robust.

When you scan a list of high-yielding master limited partnerships, the distribution yield is usually the first number that catches your eye. An 8% yield looks appealing next to a 4% investment-grade bond or a 1.5% S&P 500 dividend. But yield on its own tells you nothing about whether that payout is safe. The coverage ratio compares how much cash an MLP generates against how much it pays out.

The biggest challenge facing retirees is that no investing strategy is fail-proof. I discuss a seven-bucket blueprint - along with specific picks - that should provide an attractive risk-reward profile for retirees looking to support their living expenses over the long-term. This portfolio is designed to generate an attractive current yield and strong, sustainable dividend growth over the long-term.

I detail two of the best risk-reward opportunities today. I explain the powerful macro tailwinds that should drive strong dividend growth alongside very attractive 6.5-10% current yields. I also outline the risks involved in each investment.

The Global X MLP ETF offers diversified midstream MLP exposure without K-1 tax forms, simplifying tax reporting for investors. MLPA yields 7.15% with three years of consecutive distribution growth, appealing to income-focused investors seeking stability and high yield. The ETF is concentrated in a handful of large-cap MLPs, with over 60% in its top five holdings, and is best suited for tax-advantaged accounts.

There are several macro trends that I have high conviction in. However, there are also several sectors that are positioned to benefit immensely from these macro trends that the market has recently sold off. I detail why I am bullish on these sectors and some high-yielding funds that are well-positioned to benefit.

REITs, BDCs, and MLPs are structured to be powerful income machines. I detail a REIT, BDC, and MLP that I think are ideal for retiring on dividends. I also share some risk factors to keep in mind for each of them.

Global X MLP ETF (NYSEARCA:MLPA) pays quarterly cash distributions sourced almost entirely from operating cash flows of U.S.
