ETHB retains about 90% of gross staking rewards after a reduced 10% provider cut, but sponsor fees and liquidity needs further lower net yield. I rate ETHB a Buy, but only if it consistently delivers at least a 1% net yield advantage over ETHA after all costs and operational complexities.

Although the crypto market capitalization surged by more than $260 billion between September 17, 2026, and September 24, BlackRock Inc. (NYSE: BLK) has accelerated its cryptocurrency acquisition, with over $1.5 billion during the same period.

BlackRock Inc. (NYSE: BLK) has bought cryptocurrency – via its spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs): iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA), and iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) – valued at $843.78 million over the past 20 days.

After two weeks of record-breaking inflows, a single outflow session is raising questions about whether institutional appetite for Ethereum ETFs has finally hit a wall, or whether one quiet day is being mistaken for something bigger than it actually is.

As Ethereum (ETH) added more than $12.4 billion to its market capitalization over the past 24 hours, its United States spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) recorded their highest daily inflow since October 28, 2025, on August 20.

The top five performing iShares ETFs in July highlight strong returns in specialized market segments. Driven by gains in China large-caps, positive Ethereum momentum, and renewed geopolitical tensions leading to higher oil prices, July performance leadership came from a diverse range of asset classes.

ETHB's access to staking differentiates it from ETHA but comes with a higher expense ratio. Ethereum's long-term fundamentals remain constructive, supported by its leadership in stablecoins, DeFi, and broader on-chain activity despite the current bear market environment. A more hawkish Federal Reserve, elevated inflation forecasts, and tighter liquidity conditions continue to create headwinds for cryptocurrencies, limiting the likelihood of a sustained near-term breakout in ETH-USD.

The United States spot Ethereum (ETH) exchange-traded funds recorded their highest daily cash inflow on Monday since May 5.

Global digital asset exchange traded products (ETPs) closed May 2026 with total assets under management (AUM) of $130.9 billion, down 4% at the end of April, according to research from Fineqia International Inc (CSE:FNQ). The decline partially reversed April's rebound and confirmed that market conditions remained uneven following the first-quarter sell-off.
