Acerca de: Over the past 150-plus years, Campbell's has evolved into a leading domestic packaged food manufacturer, with a portfolio that extends beyond its iconic red-and-white labeled canned soup. In fiscal 2026 (July year-end), meals and beverages accounted for 61% of its revenue, while snacks accounted for 39%. Beyond its namesake, its brands include Pepperidge Farm, Goldfish, Snyder's of Hanover, Swanson, Pacific Foods, Prego, Pace, V8, and, most recently, Rao's (a deal that closed in 2024). Around 90% of its revenue results from the US and the remainder from Canada and Latin America.

Campbell's Slashes Dividend 36% to Combat Debt From Rao's Acquisition
Campbell's just made its most painful dividend decision in over two decades, and the debt load behind it raises a bigger question about whether even the new, smaller payout can survive what's coming in 2027.

Why Campbell's Soup Stock Plummeted by 16% in September
The company's final quarter of 2026 broadly met expectations, however its profitability guidance fell short, and its dividend was cut. This took place amid rising food costs in the U.S., a dynamic that's putting pressure on companies in the industry.

Campbell's: The Dividend Cut Adds Fuel For The Turnaround
Campbell is rated a Buy, as current valuation reflects significant risk and offers an attractive risk-reward for long-term investors. CPB's 35.9% dividend cut strengthens its balance sheet, supporting debt reduction and providing flexibility amid rising interest expenses and macro uncertainty. FY27 guidance signals more near-term weakness: organic net sales down 4%-2%, adjusted EPS down 24%-17%, and gross margins pressured by inflation and negative pricing.

Campbell's: Profit Continues To Fall, But The Stock Is Becoming Interesting
Campbell's is rated Buy at $20, despite weak FY2027 guidance, due to long-term catalysts and a 5% dividend yield. Rao's remains CPB's standout growth asset, with strong brand momentum and significant runway for household penetration and category expansion. A $500 million cost savings program through FY2030 offers substantial EBIT leverage, even if revenue remains flat and Snacks merely stabilizes.

Dividend Announcements: August 29 - September 4, 2026
In this article series, I summarize dividend announcements of the past week. This week, 5 stocks announced dividend increases, one announced a cut, and one announced a special. BRC and PECO are the only Investment Grade stocks among this week's dividend announcers, both trading near fair value with robust safety profiles. CPB's 35.90% dividend cut signals severe safety deterioration, while VICI and LAMR present high yields but carry notable safety and growth concerns.

The Campbell's Company: Near 5% Yield Attractive After 36% Dividend Cut, But Don't Buy Yet
The Campbell's Company reduced its dividend by 36% after a challenging FY2026, sending shares sharply lower and creating a potential value opportunity. CPB's Q4 earnings revealed margin compression, declining sales, and continued pressure on both the Meals & Beverages and Snacks segments, with management targeting $500M in cost savings. Despite a 4.7% dividend yield and a forward P/E of 12.39x, persistent inflation and weak outlook suggest a slow turnaround, with shares likely to remain rangebound.
