Bitcoin dipped below $80,000 for the first time in roughly a month Thursday before rebounding later in the session. Adam Lynch (@CharlesSchwab) turns to what he's watching when it comes to price action in Bitcoin and Ethereum as they remain 25% and 35% lower year-over-year, respectively.

Gold has managed to push back above $4,100 an ounce, but the precious metal continues to face significant headwinds from persistent inflation fears, which are driving hawkish monetary policies around the world.

Jenny Kovacs returns to Crypto Corner and sits down with Adam Lynch of @CharlesSchwab to talk about the latest moves in Bitcoin and Ethereum. Though Bitcoin and Ethereum have pulled back from their recent rallies, Adam says that ETF inflows show a "much more constructive" picture compared to this time last year.

Digital asset fund flows across all issuers lost momentum this week, a marked slowdown after US$11.1B of inflows since mid-July. Much of that earlier demand appears to have reflected investors buying at depressed valuations, though concerns around US fiscal sustainability have become an increasingly important part of the allocation case.

Bitcoin has fallen sharply towards US$80,000 as rising oil prices, elevated US bond yields and accelerating withdrawals from cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds trigger another wave of selling across digital assets. The world's largest cryptocurrency was trading around US$81,710 at the latest check, down about 1.8% on the session after falling as low as US$80,432.

Bitcoin consolidated this week as the market sharply reduced its expectations for another near-term rate hike. The catalyst was New York Fed President John Williams, who argued that September's 25bp hike had reduced the urgency for further tightening and that the Fed now has time to assess incoming data.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs staged a sharp turnaround in the third quarter, attracting $6.34 billion in net inflows after losing roughly $5 billion in the second quarter, according to SoSoValue data.

Crypto ETFs have remained resilient in 2026 despite higher rates and legislative roadblocks. With bitcoin prices back near $85,000, bitcoin ETFs (and the broader crypto ETF universe) have been back on investors' radars.

Joe Sticco says regulators are "picking up the ball and running" to create new guardrails on crypto following the failed Clarity Act vote from the Senate. He discusses ways federal rules will help lift Bitcoin in an attempt to start a new bull cycle.

Bitcoin has likely entered a new bull market, confirmed by a weekly close above $83k and bullish technical indicators. BTC's MVRV 30DMA crossing above the 365DMA at $80.6k signals the start of a new bullish phase, with positive momentum sustained if the ratio remains ≥1.0. Risks include potential invalidation of the bull thesis if BTC makes a lower low or if a broad S&P 500 correction drags risk assets down.
