NEW YORK, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Kuehn Law, PLLC, a shareholder litigation law firm, is investigating whether certain officers and directors of WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. (NASDAQ: WBTN) breached their fiduciary duties to shareholders.

Webtoon Entertainment remains a ‘hold' as revenue and profitability decline, but currency headwinds and a fortress balance sheet provide context. WBTN's revenue drop is largely attributable to foreign currency fluctuations; on a constant currency basis, revenue actually increased 5.2% year-over-year. The company is leveraging strategic partnerships, new content, and a $100M investment in RI Games to diversify and drive future growth.

Webtoon Entertainment CFO David Lee says he is optimistic about its business outlook, with the company betting on gaming to expand its global IP business, while leveraging AI to promote human creativity and deepen fan engagement.

The headline on Webtoon Entertainment's (NADSAQ: WBTN) Q2 shareholder letter highlights “solid” quarterly results, with 5.2% currency-adjusted revenue growth and adjusted EBIDITA of $5.5 million, exceeding the high end of previous guidance. The company also gives an optimistic account of many successful new initiatives including partnerships with Marvel and some new AI-driven innovations.

WEBTOON Entertainment NASDAQ: WBTN reported second-quarter revenue of $338.5 million, down 2.8% from a year earlier on a reported basis but up 5.2% at constant currency, as growth across paid content, advertising and intellectual-property adaptations was partly offset by foreign-exchange effects.
