Semiconductor stocks have pulled back despite strong AI demand and bullish revenue forecasts. Explore chip ETFs with relatively lower P/E ratios.

I reiterate my Buy rating on the VanEck Semiconductor ETF, citing robust AI-driven capex growth and attractive entry following recent sector correction. SMH offers diversified exposure to leading semiconductor firms benefiting from hyperscaler AI investments, with top holdings like NVDA, TSM, AMD, and AVGO. Despite a 0.35% expense ratio, SMH has delivered outsized returns—up nearly 70% in 2026 and averaging 62% annually over three years.

Cramer highlighted Micron's long-term customer agreements and the expanding use of CPUs from Intel and AMD as reasons the sector's underlying fundamentals remain strong.

The ETF ecosystem grows almost every day, with hundreds of new strategies and massive flows coming with each year that goes by. Thanks to the ETF wrapper's flexibility, issuers can craft and release targeted, transparent, and tax-efficient solutions for portfolios.

Jim Cramer declared chips a broken trade and software the new king of AI, but the numbers behind his argument depend entirely on where you start the clock.
