Roundhill NVDA WeeklyPay ETF

Börsenwert 109 Mio. $

I downgrade the Roundhill NVDA WeeklyPay ETF (NVDW) to Sell due to its inability to outperform Nvidia (NVDA) and persistent volatility drag. NVDW's leverage only adds value in a narrowly defined, imminent bullish regime for NVDA, making its use case extremely limited. The ETF's structure—~119% NVDA exposure, 77% in T-bills/money markets—fails to offset weekly reset and volatility drag, even in different rate environments.

Heading into Q2 fiscal 2027 earnings, the capital markets wondered if the vaunted chipmaking giant Nvidia still has its mojo. Despite rallying to atmospheric levels over the past three years, this massive upside is already baked into its stock price.

The Roundhill NVDA WeeklyPay ETF (NVDW) offers a quasi-synthetic leveraged position in Nvidia (NVDA) with a highly variable income stream. NVDW's trailing yield appears near 60%, but actual yield on cost is closer to 40%, and payouts fluctuate significantly week to week. Performance depends on NVDA's weekly returns; NVDW can lag NVDA and is not suitable for those seeking reliable income.

The Roundhill NVDA WeeklyPay ETF requires a strong, smooth Nvidia rally to outperform unleveraged Nvidia positions. NVDW's weekly reset structure introduces path and volatility dependencies, causing NAV erosion and volatility drag in choppy or sideways markets. Current high yields are funded by Nvidia's past rally; in less bullish regimes, payouts risk NAV depletion and diminished future returns.

The Roundhill NVDA WeeklyPay ETF offers weekly distributions targeting 1.2x Nvidia returns, but has underperformed NVDA since inception. NVDW's trailing 12-month yield is about 34%, but its total return fell short of Nvidia's total return. YieldMax NVDA Option Income Strategy ETF offers higher yield and slightly better total return over NVDW, but both ETFs underperformed NVDA in terms of total return.

We are including XOMO on this list because of how attractive and oversold XOM has become.
