MGP Ingredients remains a Buy as its valuation is highly attractive, with management reaffirming 2026 guidance despite operational pressures. Recent branded spirits launches, including 'MGP Chapter One,' and growth in Penelope and Ingredient Solutions suggest early signs of normalization. Inventory build and rising long-term debt warrant close monitoring, but liquidity remains comfortable, and management is proactively controlling costs.

MGP Ingredients has suffered a nearly -90% share price collapse since 2022, driven by industrywide recession and trade headwinds, but now offers deep value. MGPI sells at 0.55x sales and 0.46x book value, far below peers and historical averages, presenting a compelling net asset play. A forward P/E estimate of 6.5x versus long-term averages in the 20–25x range, with strong tangible asset backing and a conservative balance sheet, limits downside risk.
