The drop followed fourth-quarter results in which revenue of about $654 million slightly topped Wall Street expectations, but adjusted earnings of 39 cents per share missed the consensus by a penny.

Zillow (ZG) shares plunged following recent earnings and a general selloff in real estate services stocks. Zillow's resilience in the face of a massive push from Homes.com illustrates that Zillow is top of mind for consumers. AI doesn't change that. I view the threat from Compass (COMP) attempting to utilize a proprietary listing network as being untenable for most home sellers.

Zillow's financials continue to improve, but investors aren't impressed enough to buy the stock. The long-term trajectory hasn't changed and this is one area AI disruption is likely to impact anytime soon.
