MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Xcel Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: XEL) (“Xcel Energy”) today announced that it intends to offer, subject to market and other conditions, $2,000,000,000 aggregate principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2027 (the “convertible notes”) in a private placement under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Securities Act”). Xcel Energy also intends to grant the initial purchasers of the convertible notes an option to purchase, for settlement within a 13-day period.

(NASDAQ: XEL) today reported 2026 third quarter GAAP earnings of $960 million, or $1.52 per share, compared with $524 million, or $0.88 per share in the same period in 2025 and ongoing earnings of $961 million, or $1.52 per share compared with $737 million or $1.24 per share in the same period in 2025. See Note 6 for reconciliation from GAAP to ongoing earnings. The change in earnings per share was primarily driven by increased recovery of electric.
