DALLAS , Nov. 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Wingstop (NASDAQ: WING) today announced the opening of its 3,000th restaurant globally – a significant milestone as the brand accelerates toward its vision of becoming a Top 10 Global Restaurant Brand with more than 10,000 restaurants worldwide. Wingstop reached this milestone at a record pace, opening nearly 800 restaurants and expanding its global footprint by 50% in just two years.

The Alger Mid Cap 40 ETF outperformed the Russell Midcap Growth Index during the third quarter of 2025. AppLovin Corp. (APP), Talen Energy Corp (TLN), and Robinhood Markets, Inc. The portfolio generated a modestly positive absolute return in Q3, but it trailed the MSCI All Country World Small Mid Index. The Q3 underperformance was driven by stock selection in the IT, financials and consumer discretionary sectors. On the positive side, stock selection in the health care and industrials sectors was the strongest contributor to performance.

Darsana bought 750,000 shares in Wingstop, an estimated $188.76 million position. The transaction represents 4.45% of Darsana's 13F reportable assets under management (AUM).

Some of these companies are firing on all cylinders and trading at lofty valuations. Others face short-term challenges that have them looking like "buy the dip" opportunities.

Nebius Group N.V. (NBIS), Talen Energy Corp (TLN), and Tutor Perini Corporation (TPC) were among the top contributors to performance. Wingstop, Inc. (WING), Portillo's, Inc. (PTLO), and Vertex, Inc. (VERX) were among the top detractors from performance. Portillo's is a fast-casual restaurant chain best known for Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches, operating company-owned locations across the United States.

Wingstop is one the strongest restaurant businesses, and the stock has pulled back to a below-average valuation. Universal Display has competitive advantages that should help it benefit from a growing opportunity over the next several years.

Steadfast increased its Wingstop by 710,621 shares, resulting in a net position value change of $158.44 million. The transaction represented a 3.9% shift relative to Steadfast's 13F reportable assets under management.
