Australia's Woodside Energy said on Monday it had signed a supply agreement with Turkish state-owned petroleum company BOTAS to deliver around 5.8 billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas for up to nine years, starting in 2030.

Energy industry veteran Meg O'Neill, tapped by BP to lead a shake-up at the venerable London-based major, made an immediate splash when she took the reins at Australia's Woodside Energy, clinching a deal that doubled its production portfolio.

Australia's Woodside Energy expects its sales of oil and gas to climb by 50% by 2032 to meet rising demand for energy, particularly in Asian markets, company CEO Meg O'Neill said on Wednesday.

Woodside Energy said U.S.-based Williams would invest in its Louisiana LNG project, reducing its share of development costs and securing a partner with deep knowledge of U.S. pipeline networks and natural-gas markets.

U.S.-based Williams will spend $1.9 billion on the development of LNG facilities and a pipeline for Australian gas producer Woodside Energy's $17.5 billion liquefied natural gas project in Louisiana, the companies said.
