I am upgrading Viasat (VSAT) to a 'Buy' after strong Q2 results and significant stock outperformance versus the S&P 500. VSAT reported narrowing losses, robust growth in Communications Services awards, and expanding backlog in Defense and Advanced Technologies. Guidance now targets positive free cash flow in FY27, with improving profitability and a strengthened capital structure supporting the outlook.

VSAT's Q2 results beat earnings estimates as revenues climb on gains in government satcom and cyber defense.

Brent Penter, of Raymond James, has upgraded shares to Buy from Hold. His price target is $52.
