Thomson Reuters: High Valuation Limits Near-Term Upside
I give a hold rating for Thomson Reuters (TRI), due to solid fundamentals, but limited near-term upside from high current valuation. TRI's core business is growing steadily, with strong performance in Legal, Corporates, and Tax & Accounting segments, and increasing Gen AI traction. Despite robust fundamentals, TRI's valuation at 45.8x forward PE is significantly above historical and peer multiples, leaving little room for error.

Thomson Reuters: Still Positive Considering EPS Beat And Improved Revenue Quality
I stick to a Buy for Thomson Reuters following my assessment of the company's first quarter results and the shift in its topline composition. TRI's 1Q2025 EPS surpassed expectations due to the strong performance of its Tax & Accounting Professionals segment. The company has been deriving a growing proportion of its revenue from star products and AI solutions.
