The Fed will announce yet another decision on rates this week, with markets largely expecting the central bank to stand pat. While the Fed could buck those expectations, rates will likely not shift more than 25 basis points (bps) if at all.

Low-cost active ETFs succeeded at nearly double the rate of their expensive counterparts over the past decade, according to Morningstar's year-end 2025 Active/Passive Barometer report, underscoring how fees remain the primary hurdle for active managers attempting to outpace index funds.

Active ETFs are one of the most exciting investment areas in recent years, driving much of overall ETF product launches. Part of that growth owes to increased use and demand for active bond ETFs, bringing active management to fixed income.

Two T. Rowe Price ETFs have emerged as early leaders within the firm's exchange-traded product lineup, with one fund posting the strongest performance and another drawing the most investor money among the company's offerings, according to ETF Database. The T. Rowe Price Natural Resources ETF (TURF) has returned 16.

2026 has kicked off at a breakneck pace for market watchers. Global tensions and financial uncertainty loom over the dollar and its place as the key currency for much of the world's markets.

The active ETF market split along strategy lines in 2025, with discretionary equity funds gaining 3.3% market share while systematic equity funds lost 1.1%, according to Morningstar data shared by Ben Johnson, head of client solutions and asset management at the firm. The divergence shows not all active strategies performed equally, with the T.
