Everyone thinks institutions are selling Bitcoin. They're wrong.

The pre-market for crypto stocks is a bit mixed, but not strong in general.

Strategy's Bitcoin 2026 sales amount to less than 0.5% of its total holdings. Saylor continues to live by the view that this top cryptocurrency is the premier treasury reserve asset.

Strategy (MSTR) reached $92.1 at the closing of the latest trading day, reflecting a -2.68% change compared to its last close.

Bitcoin treasury company Strategy (previously known as Microstrategy) fell 3% on Monday after raising approximately $466.7 million by selling common stock last week while leaving its bitcoin holdings unchanged. The company sold 4,818,781 MSTR shares between July 6 and July 12 and did not buy or sell any bitcoin during the period.

Strategy's Bitcoin monetization plan boosts liquidity and buyback flexibility, but valuation, weak momentum and funding risks keep caution in focus.

A ​move by Michael Saylor's bitcoin stockpiling company Strategy to authorize more bitcoin sales has once again shone a spotlight on a clutch ‌of public crypto hoarding companies, which have been buffeted by falling token prices.

Strategy has finally been forced to sell some Bitcoin to fund its interest payments. With the premium on its stock fully closed, its Bitcoin acquisition strategy is being put into question.

Strategy has built a large Bitcoin position, selling stock and preferred stock to fund its Bitcoin purchases. Now that Bitcoin's price has dramatically declined, Strategy may have no choice but to change its approach.
