Rocket Lab USA (NASDAQ:RKLB | RKLB Price Prediction) stock is up 9% today, rising from $73.60 to $80, as NASA contract momentum, new technology launches, and a high-conviction signal from the company's CEO drive the space sector higher.

The most anticipated IPO in market history is no longer speculation. SpaceX filed a confidential draft registration with the SEC on April 1, targeting a $1.75 trillion valuation and a roughly $75 billion raise that would dwarf Saudi Aramco's 2019 record.

The per-pound cost of carrying anything into outer space has fallen more than 90% since modern day rocketry's inception. This relatively new degree of affordability is accelerating the development of satellites and other technologies that can make good use of it.

Artemis II is scheduled to land tonight at 8 p.m. Next up -- a series of 30 moon landings with robotic landers, including landers from Intuitive Machines.

Investors are running into Intuitive Machines (NASDAQ: LUNR) following its historic launch of “Artemis II” – which successfully sent four astronauts on a lunar flyby on Apr. 1. The Artemis news came only days after “NASA” selected LUNR for its commercial lunar payload services (CLPS) task order, further adding technical validation to the firm's infrastructure.

Yesterday, SpaceX reportedly confidentially filed for an IPO with the SEC, targeting a potential $1.75 trillion valuation in what could become the largest listing ever.

Shares of space and aerospace companies rallied on Wednesday after a Reuters report said SpaceX confidentially filed for a US initial public offering, fueling optimism that the sector could be entering a new phase of growth.
