My rating for ORIX is lifted to buy after analyzing its 1QFY26 earnings beat and considering potential re-rating triggers. The first quarter bottom line was 15% above the consensus estimate thanks to the outperformance of the Energy and Real Estate segments; I think this sets the stage for an eventual full-year guidance raise. ORIX has made greater-than-expected progress with its current repurchase program, and it is likely that a fresh buyback plan will be contemplated before this fiscal year ends.
