NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WisdomTree's India Hedged Equity Fund (INDH) has been named “Best New International Equity ETF” at the ETF.com Awards 2025.

Following a multiyear run in which Indian equities and related ETFs were emerging market leaders and among the best-performing ex-U.S. stocks, the group retreated in the first quarter even as other international markets sprang to life.

With President-elect Trump set to take the oath of office in less than two weeks, and with 2025 in its early innings, advisors and investors are likely evaluating asset classes and ideas that could work well this year. Not surprisingly, following a now lengthy stretch of disappointment, broad-based emerging markets strategies aren't atop those lists.

Emerging market equities have traded lower in recent weeks. That indicates this is among the small amount of asset classes that didn't like the outcome of the U.S. presidential election.

After commanding significant attention over the course of 2023 and through the early stages of this year, it may feel as though as focus on India equities and related ETFs has waned. That shouldn't be the case, because with assists from the financial services and technology sectors, India stocks hit record highs on Thursday.

India stocks and related ETFs are already in the midst of a multiyear stretch of being emerging markets leaders. Some market observers believe that candle will continue to burn bright for years to come.

India stocks and related ETFs have been among the best emerging market assets for several years. For many market participants, that's enough.

On Thursday, WisdomTree bolstered its ETF lineup with the release of the WisdomTree India Hedged Equity Fund (INDH). The fund is trading on the NASDAQ.
