The iShares Expanded Tech Sector ETF offers broad tech exposure at a lower forward P/E (20.3x) than XLK, with strong forward EPS growth (29.5%). IGM's diversified holdings include communications, consumer discretionary, and non-S&P 500 North American firms, lowering its valuation versus traditional tech ETFs. GICS keeps Alphabet, Meta and Netflix out of XLK. IGM's "expanded" mandate holds them, plus gaming and social media names, and that is what pulls its valuation down.
