IAU Hedge Fund Activity: Q2 2016 in Review

419 of the 3,748 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in iShares Gold Trust (IAU) for Q2 2016, worth a combined $4.75B — up 23% from $3.85B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 56 funds opened new IAU positions and 32 closed out — a net gain of 24 holders — while 157 added to existing stakes and 96 trimmed.
