About: Honeywell traces its roots to 1885 with Albert Butz's firm, Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator, which produced a predecessor to the modern thermostat. Other inventions by Honeywell include biodegradable detergent and autopilot. Today, Honeywell is a global multi-industry behemoth with one of the largest installed bases of equipment. It operates through four business segments: aerospace technologies, industrial automation, energy and sustainability solutions, and building automation. Recently, Honeywell has made several portfolio changes to focus on fewer end markets and align with a set of secular growth trends. The firm is working diligently to expand its installed base, deriving around one third of its revenue from recurring aftermarket services.

Looking For A 2027 Defense Play: Honeywell Fits The Bill
Honeywell Aerospace is a high-quality, aftermarket-heavy aerospace franchise facing a classic transition year due to supply constraints, not demand weakness. Robust $18.2B backlog, double-digit order momentum, and reaffirmed 2030 targets underscore strong underlying demand and long-cycle visibility. Near-term earnings and margins are suppressed by supply bottlenecks, spin-related costs, and an elevated leverage profile post-spin.

Dogs Of The Dow: No Buys And Few Worth Watching
Dogs of the Dow remain generally overvalued, with none meeting the ideal 'fair price' threshold where dividends from $1K invested exceed share price. Analyst forecasts project 22.15% to 47.11% net gains for the top ten Dow Dogs by September 2027, with an average estimated gain of 28.46%. Yield-based strategies favor underdogs, but current market conditions suggest waiting for significant price pullbacks or dividend increases to achieve optimal entry points.
