Aberdeen Physical Precious Metals Basket Shares ETF is upgraded to a "Strong Buy" at current levels following a significant correction in precious metals prices. Gold, silver, platinum, and palladium remain in long-term bullish trends despite recent declines of 27%–50% from January 2026 highs. GLTR offers diversified, liquid exposure to physical precious metals, with 2/3 in gold, 1/3 in silver, and over 7.3% in platinum and palladium.

Throughout most of 2025, silver has recently outperformed gold, proving (ironically) that it is not always second place. The massive rally in gold hit its first significant pullback in months last week, dipping under $4,000 per troy ounce after touching as high as $4,350.

Despite stocks fluctuating in response to the latest trade war drama between the U.S. and China, gold has continued its near-daily upward march. Prices recently topped $4,300 per ounce for the first time in history as investors bet on safe-haven assets over bonds or currencies.

GLTR physically holds gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, providing tangible value and avoiding futures-related risks. Rising U.S. debt, concerns over Fed independence, and geopolitical tensions are driving investors toward precious metals as safe havens. Central banks and countries are increasing precious metals holdings, reducing reliance on U.S. Treasuries, and boosting metal prices.

Platinum's Q2 rally has been nothing short of astounding. Prices of the precious/industrial metal have been relatively staid for much of the year before taking flight in the beginning of June.
