FXF: SNB's Zero-Rate Standstill Justifies The Short, But Safe-Haven Flows Are The Wildcard

FXF, the USD/CHF ETF, presents a compelling short opportunity due to a historically wide US-Swiss rate differential. SNB maintains benchmark rates at 0.00% with no changes expected through at least 2027, reinforcing the bearish case for FXF. Technical analysis confirms a persistent downtrend in FXF, with recent bearish signals supporting a short trade setup.

FXF: When Holding CHF Makes Sense

Invesco CurrencyShares Swiss Franc Trust offers direct CHF exposure, tracking CHF/USD with minimal tracking error and a 0.40% expense ratio. FXF is best held as a portfolio overlay for currency risk management, not for tactical trading, due to annual costs and lack of a clear trend. The current US-Swiss interest rate spread favors the dollar, limiting near-term catalysts for FXF appreciation.
