Ford: Don't Expect Growth - Income Story Remains Rich
Ford's dividend investment thesis remains compelling, thanks to the healthier balance sheet, the rich cash flows, and the ongoing share retirement. While the new FY2025 guidance may appear to be disappointing, it has also highlighted the management's robust tariff mitigation strategies in a new normal environment. This is significantly aided by F's well diversified capabilities across ICE/ hybrids/ EVs, with Pro's high margin subscription business driving its top/ bottom line growth cadence.

Ford's then-CFO, John Lawler, said at the time that costs added up to a staggering $7 billion to $8 billion disadvantage for Ford compared to its traditional rivals.

Why I Can't Stop Thinking About Ford's Next $5 Billion Investment
If Ford's (F -0.59%) recently announced $5 billion investment in creating the "Ford Universal EV Platform and Ford Universal EV Production System," looks like an all-in bet on electric vehicles (EVs) and sounds like one, it's a pretty safe assumption that it is one. It's a bold move, and makes perfect sense in light of CEO Jim Farley's long-term strategic decision-making.
