About: Founded in 1890 as the first manufacturer of electric fans in North America, Emerson Electric has become a leading industrial automation player through the acquisition of established brands. Emerson organizes its business into seven segments that sell a wide range of automation software, power tools, and automation hardware such as valves, gauges, and switches. In recent years, Emerson divested its climate technology and consumer businesses to become more of a pure-play industrial automation company. The automation of a factory is an enticing long-term proposition for manufacturers, helping reduce accident rates and raise uptime and productivity.

Best Dividend Aristocrats For September 2025
Dividend Aristocrats have shown mixed 2025 performance, with some delivering double-digit gains and others lagging, but overall stability remains a hallmark. Dividend growth is robust, with 53 of 69 Aristocrats raising payouts in 2025 and an average growth rate of 5.14%, signaling continued income reliability. My 'Promising Aristocrats' list, focused on undervaluation and projected total return, has outperformed both NOBL and SPY in August.

Emerson Electric Can Greatly Benefit From Trade Agreements
US trade deals and tariffs are driving major investments in energy, utilities, and pharmaceuticals, creating strong demand for Emerson's automation solutions. Emerson's new AI-driven products and strategic partnerships position it to capture growth in power generation, LNG, and pharmaceutical manufacturing automation. Lower-than-expected tariff impacts and easing price surcharges support a positive financial outlook, with forecasted sales of $5 billion and adjusted EPS of $1.62 for eq4'25.

Emerson Electric: High Risk To Growth (Rating Downgrade)
I am downgrading Emerson Electric Co. to Sell due to its high valuation and signs of slowing growth. Recent fiscal Q3 results missed expectations, with guidance for Q4 indicating further deceleration in sales and earnings. Uncertainty from tariff policies is creating supply chain challenges and risks to future growth and margins.
