About: Cummins is a leading manufacturer of diesel and other engines used in heavy- and medium-duty commercial trucks, off-highway equipment, and locomotives, in addition to prime power and standby generators. The company also sells powertrain components, which include filtration products, transmissions, turbochargers, aftertreatment systems, and fuel systems. Sales are approximately 60% US and Canada and 40% rest of world. Much of Cummins' foreign sales (China, India, and so forth) are through joint ventures. The company operates 650 distributors and over 19,000 dealer locations across 190 countries. Cummins' business model is unique as it competes with many of its heavy-duty truck manufacturer customers, who also make their own engines.

The Smartest Dividend Stocks To Own For What's Coming
Asking 'why' repeatedly is crucial for investors to understand the root causes of macroeconomic shifts and avoid being blind sided by market disruptions. The current U.S. policy shift favors growth over inflation control, increasing risks of higher inflation and short-term debt refinancing challenges. Given these risks, I recommend increasing exposure to real assets, REITs, and cyclical value stocks for inflation protection and potential outperformance.

Cummins: Data Center Demand Will Help It, But I'm Not Looking To Invest Now
Cummins Inc. delivered strong Q1 results, driven by robust demand in Power Systems and Distribution, especially from data center growth. Despite operational strength, management withdrew full-year guidance due to tariff uncertainties, raising near-term risk and volatility. Data center and AI-related capex from big tech will be a major long-term growth driver for Cummins, supporting optimism for key segments.
