Many investors made predictions about Bitcoin's price this year. Those predictions were, almost without exception, much too high.

As we enter the 2025 home stretch, Bitcoin is once again down, dipping below $90,000 on Thursday, following the Federal Reserve's highly anticipated interest rate cut by 25 basis points on December 10.

Cryptocurrencies tumbled on Thursday and bitcoin fell back below the $90,000 threshold in a renewed signal of market jitters as fresh concerns about artificial intelligence profits weighed on technology stocks.

Standard Chartered slashes Bitcoin (BTC-USD) price targets, now seeing $100K in 2025 and $225K in 2027, citing waning ETF and DAT demand. Nvidia (NVDA) unveils a geolocation feature for AI GPUs to prevent smuggling into restricted markets, leveraging confidential computing and server latency.

Ethereum, Solana, and other cryptocurrencies are also up.

As bitcoin climbed on Tuesday, Standard Chartered said it now expects the crypto to end the year higher at $100,000. However, that marks a sharp revision down from its previous year-end target of $200,000.
