As the political landscape and high stock valuations in the U.S. lead investors to seek new international markets to invest in, MFS Investment Management has launched a new emerging markets ETF that is actively managed.

The global markets in 2026 have been marked by geopolitical shifts that are pushing more investors toward international opportunities, including emerging markets (EM). Combined with greater demand for active ETFs, the timing for MFS Investment Management to launch the MFS Blended Research Emerging Markets Equity ETF (BREE) couldn't be better.

Increasing interest in active management has been a persistent trend in 2025. Still, the current momentum should continue to drive demand in 2026.

When developing research strategies to achieve positive alpha, there are typically two methodologies: quantitative and fundamental. Discerning investors who have a predilection for one or the other no longer have to choose with the MFS Blended Research Core Equity ETF (BRCE) and the MFS Blended Research International Equity ETF (BRIE).

On Wednesday, October 22, MFS expanded its collection of actively managed ETFs with the launch of two new funds: MFS Blended Research Core Equity ETF and MFS Blended Research International Equity ETF.

MFS Blended Research Core Equity ETF (NYSE: BRCE) and MFS Blended Research International Equity ETF (NYSE: BRIE) combine fundamental and quantitative investment approaches to maximize returns against targeted risk levels.
