Natixis Portfolio holdings
Natixis is the wholesale banking subsidiary of the French banking group BPCE, and its businesses have included Natixis Investment Managers, Natixis Wealth Management and Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking. Natixis was created in 2006 by merging the investment banking arms of the Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Epargne groups, which went on to combine as BPCE in 2009. Natixis listed its shares on the stock market in October 2006, with the Caisse d'Epargne and Banque Populaire groups as its main owners. One of its predecessors, Natexis, was formed in 1996 by merging the French foreign trade bank Banque française du commerce extérieur with Crédit national, was taken over by Banque Populaire in 1998 and was renamed Natexis Banques Populaires in 1999. BPCE bought out the remaining public shareholders in 2021 and took Natixis off the stock market, and since then has run those three businesses directly.
