Aberdeen Group Portfolio holdings
Aberdeen Group is a British wealth and investment company, created in 2017 when Standard Life merged with Aberdeen Asset Management. In 2018 it agreed to sell the Standard Life insurance business to Phoenix Group, shifting the company from insurance toward asset management. After selling the Standard Life name to Phoenix Group in 2021 it rebranded as abrdn, a vowel-free name that drew criticism, and in 2025 it went back to Aberdeen. Among its businesses is Interactive Investor, a British retail investing service that runs on subscriptions, which it bought in 2022.
